Dr. Samantha Prabakaran
Samantha Prabakaran, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with specialized training in oculofacial cosmetic surgery. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University, a high-volume surgical program, building a strong foundation in complex eyelid and ophthalmic procedures.
Her practice focuses on advanced techniques for upper blepharoplasty, ptosis repair, cosmetic lower blepharoplasty, eye-bag removal, brow lifting, and reconstructive eyelid surgery.

Am I a good candidate?
Most healthy adults bothered by excess or heavy eyelid skin, or under-eye bags, are candidates. Your consultation with Dr. Prabakaran will confirm what's right for you.
Is it surgical, and what is recovery like?
Blepharoplasty is a short procedure. Most patients return to normal activities within about a week, with incisions hidden in the natural eyelid creases.
Will my results look natural?
Yes. As a fellowship-trained oculofacial surgeon, Dr. Prabakaran focuses on refreshed, natural results, never an operated look.
What's the difference between upper and lower?
Upper blepharoplasty removes excess upper-eyelid skin for a more open, rested look. Lower blepharoplasty addresses under-eye bags and puffiness. Some patients benefit from both.
